Two new videos have been added to the demonstration videos page.

A video demonstration on ICRFS-Plus and A.M. Best Schedule P data has been added. This video illustrates the wealth of information that can be obtained with ICRFS-Plus™ and the A.M. Best Schedule P data to give your company a competitive advantage.

A video has been added demonstrating how to use ICRFS-Plus™ to price low frequency/high severity layers. Using real life data it is shown how to price higher layers even though the triangles for the higher layers are replete with zeros.

Importing Data into ICRFS-Plus™ 10 effortlessly

If your data comes in a consistent format in either Microsoft Excel or Access, there are several ways of importing large amounts of data in a few steps. The fastest way will depend on the format of the data and whether you want to do any additional processing.

1. With Template Manager, no programming is required, but you do need to set up a template first. Many layouts of data can be imported, but some formats may not be catered for.

2. Using XML files as an intermediate step, some simple programming is required (for example, in Visual Basic).

3. Using COM, programming is a little more complex, but additional processing is possible, such as running a wizard on the triangles you import.

If you send us example data that illustrates what you want imported or updated, we can give you more specific advice on what method would be best and give you an example template, XML or COM program.

Once you have triangles and models set up, you can update the triangle groups each quarter or year using a similar process. After you update, you could use COM to run existing models or new wizard models to compare new forecasts with old.
