Installation Errors

I1. Error message on installing ICRFS "createInterbaseAccount: Cannot find file".

This can occur if Interbase 6 or 7 has been installed by some other application. Please check which version of Interbase is installed and contact Insureware.

Errors Launching ICRFS-Plus

L1. Error message on starting ICRFS-Plus "Error #101: Your computer is not licensed to run ICRFS".

Check that the program "licence" (supplied on a floppy disk at the start of the current licence period) has been run. If it has been run, record any message produced by the licence program and send it to Insureware.

L2. Error message on starting ICRFS-Plus "Error #103: Your computer is not licensed to run ICRFS".

Check that the label on the floppy matches the label on the sentinel key. If it does, please contact Insureware.

This problem has also been seen when the sentinel key has been damaged by repeated removal. If you have another sentinel key, check whether the program will launch with the other sentinel key.

L3. Error message on starting ICRFS-Plus "Please check sentinel key and parallel port".

Check that the sentinel key is in the parallel port or USB port.

If you have a USB key, you need to install a later version of the Sentinel key driver than the one installed as part of the ICRFS-Plus 9.2 installation. This driver, and instructions for its installation, are supplied on a CD sent with the USB key. Click here to download the USB Drivers.

This error can be caused by an incompatibility of the sentinel key driver and the parallel port settings, on Windows XP or 2000, particularly on Toshiba laptops. The internal settings of the computer may need to be changed. Alternatively, a USB sentinel key can be supplied. Please contact Insureware for assistance.

This problem has also been seen when the sentinel key has been damaged by repeated removal. If you have another sentinel key, check whether the program will launch with the other sentinel key.

Miscellaneous Bugs

B1. 3D plots cannot be displayed.

First try changing the Hardware Acceleration of your display as follows. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Display. Select the Settings tab. If there is an Advanced button, click on it and select the Troubleshooting tab. Reduce the Hardware Acceleration from Full to None.

If you do not have Advanced settings, or this does not solve the problem, please contact Insureware for advice on changing display settings.

Note that 3D plots are not supported on Windows 95 original version or version A.

B2. Some dialogs and tables do not operate correctly with some Regional Settings. With Regional Settings set to French, Dutch or German:

1. The Aggregate Triangles dialog does not allow the entry of ",".

2. Tables associated with the forecast dialog (inflation/discount, future iotas/gammas, future exposures) do not accept digits after ",".

3. "." is displayed instead of "," in the Resultant Trend tables.

A temporary fix is to switch to English regional settings. A Service Release that fixes this problem is now available. Please contact support@insureware.com if you require an installation CD containing this Service Release.

B3. Error message "Access violation at address 01155A32 in module 'IVTGMGR.BPL'. Read of address 00000000." appears when you attempt to save or close an exposure, inflation or premium set.

This occurs when a triangle that uses the exposure, inflation or premium set is open. The fix is to close the triangle before saving or closing the other data. Note that no data is lost when this error appears and you may continue using the program.
